Spiral pipe, also known as spiral steel pipe or spiral welded pipe, is a low carbon structural steel or low alloy structural steel steel strip rolled into a billet according to a certain angle of the spiral line (called the forming angle), and then made by welding the pipe seam together, which can be used to produce large-diameter steel pipe with a narrower strip.
Spiral pipe is mainly used for oil and natural gas transmission pipelines, and its specifications are expressed in terms of outer diameter * wall thickness. Spiral pipe characteristics: straight seam welded pipe production process is simple, high production efficiency, low cost, the development of faster. Spiral welded pipe strength is generally higher than straight seam welded pipe, can use a narrower billet to produce a larger diameter welded pipe, but also can use the same width of the billet to produce different diameter welded pipe. However, compared with the same length of straight seam pipe, the length of the welded seam increases by 30-100%, and the production speed is lower. Therefore, the smaller diameter welded pipes are mostly welded with straight seam welding, and the large diameter welded pipes are mostly welded with spiral welding.

For liquid transport: water supply, drainage, sewage treatment works, mud transfer, ocean water transfer. For gas transport: gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas. For structural use: as piling pipe, as bridge; dock, road, building structure pipe, marine piling pipe and so on.
